Cancer Research Wales is the Welsh cancer research charity.
We are an independent Welsh charity - and we’re not connected to any other cancer research charities. We are the only charity that exists just to raise money to fund cancer research in Wales, for Wales.
Every week in Wales, 175 families lose a loved one to cancer. Every day, we strive to bring us closer to a future where fewer families in Wales face the heartbreak of cancer, and where more precious moments can be spent with loved ones.
Through our work, we aim to ensure that people in Wales no longer have to accept cancer as a life-threatening disease. We are committed to reducing the impact of cancer and improving unacceptable survival rates across the country.
Since we were formed in 1966, we have invested over £41 million in ground-breaking cancer research projects in Wales.
